The fountains make use of capillary forces.
Two steel wires touch and are moved apart again by regular drops of water.
The drops form, break up and form again.
The steel wires are usually placed at the centre of a framework made up of metal and concrete. Fragility, lightness and malleability contrast with the starkness of cement, an unyielding material that symbolises the harshness of our world, a reference to our urbanisation.
The fountains can take on more imposing dimensions, in the form of wire curtains.
These are entitled "Fountains of life". The works are very graphic and ethereal.
The sound of the water creates a sweet music, observing the harmony imposed by piano strings over which it flows.
