| "I have been helped, encouraged and sponsored by Niki for several years and in 1999 she suggested we make lamps together. We produced these four lamps. The shapes go out of balance with the heat from the light-bulbs, revealing the mosaics that Niki has created. When the lamps are switched off, the designs return to their hiding caskets."
"Jean Tinguely was my 'idol'. I was lucky enough to meet him and take part in his great Cyclops project.
Jean devised a love story between a hammer and a demijohn: whilst showing off, the hammer fell against the demijohn and smashed it. Their love wascrushed and those standing by were drenched. In my interpretation, the hammer comes down but the demijohn disappears into the ground and is not broken."
